Pincers

by DOIK

Just found my pincers in the garden, they were buried years ago by my eldest grandson.

I like this shot very much; the wood grain, though not in contrast, gives a very good and appropriate background. A good example of nature attempting to return the elements back to the ground. I can't believe that you removed the two nails from those holes between the pincer legs, as I see no abrasive scuffing of the legs near the pivot rivet. I suggest that for your next shot you get as close as you can to the corroded surface, with a macro lens or extension tubes, or even both, I think that would make an interesting macro photograph. Wrap the pincers in brown paper and present them to your grandson, perhaps for Christmas or a Birthday, with a note within, stating that despite all the watering and the passage of time, the pincers have not grown, in fact they have shrunk!
