I have passed this farm on the Mendips many times but only recently stopped to capture these pumps before they disappear. I thought a B&W treatment would suit them.

Where exactly is this place? I'd love to photograph my Z3 in front of them. I thought I knew the Mendips pretty well: obvioulsy not.
Great shot, by the way.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Thank you Andrew and Giulio, I'm glad you like it. I would have liked the pumps to stand out more from the background but I didn't have time to do them justice.
For you Andrew, coming from Wells, they are on the road from Castle of Comfort to Burrington about 2.5 mls from COC. The site is Hazel Warren farm. I had a good chat to the owner, who is a real 'Wurzel'. I'm sure he would pose filling up your car, if you ask him. I always think of the shot I should have taken when driving away.
I shall look forward to seeing your treatment of the subject in due course.

Kind regards, Bob

Thanks Bob. I know the place, I think. On a sharp bend (which requires close attention while driving which is why I've not noticed the pumps!) used to be some sort of transport or agricutural maintenance yard, I think. Often in deep shadow due to the copse opposite. I'll pull in there next time we're out that way.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Sepia might suit it too!
