Old Cut Flowers

by MikeInDevon

Past their sell-by date but still nice to look at.

Industar-50, 50mm wide open at f3.5 and minimum focus. (Not 55m as shown in the metadata, I forgot to change it!)

Minimal post processing and crop using DxO.

One lens I keep meaning to get but never do. You are quite right about such roses remaining nice to look at. Even stone dead they can be attractive.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Thanks David.

The lens comes from one of my Father's old cameras, a Zenith-3M, a very nice looking compact basic SLR. It has a M39 thread but a M39 to M42 adapter + a M42 to PK adapter fixes that! It's tiny on the K-1, produces very natural colours and even has a bit of swirl in the Bokeh. When I first tried it the focus was stuck, easy to dismantle, clean off the old grease and regreasing it, now a lovely smooth focusing action. A neat little lens and fun to use.

Cheers
Mike
