This image is a 7 shot HDR produced in Photomatix Pro, a few tweaks in Lr, and converted to b&w in Silver Efex Pro.
Worth the effort, I think.

Fantastic - I bet this looks stunning in full resolution. It demonstrates what can be achieved with some imaginative processing.
