I have commented on your other photograph so will be brief on this one. I agree with Rees above, nice picture of your wife, but also agree with Tel, it's to warm.
Starting from the background, try to take the creases out of the backgrounds before setting up your models as there is nothing worse than having your eyes drawn to the folds and shadows.
In any portrait the most important part to focus on is the eyes, unfortunatley the eyes on this image are slightly out. Always focus on the eyes as they are what people are drawn to.
Personally I would crop the image differently, there is to much background above her head and not enough of her hands. Try to include her watch or take it off.
Hope this helps, also I hope you don't think I am being to much of a critic!
