Stopped in on our way back from New Years at Taupo.

This was used in Peter Jacksons Lord of the Rings series. It's one of 3 in the area, and is still considered to be active.

This picture looks overly sharpened to my eye, but I expect this is due to the downscaling in size to fit the forum standard.

Gave the sky a bit of a reddish tinge to match the LOTR movies
