Mr and Mrs Jones
by molejones
This was my 1st wedding I have taken photos, it was my friends wedding and I was just using the oppertunity to practice, while another profasional photographer took the photos.
I had realy bad proplems with the camera, the shutter speed in auto mode was always ruffly in the 5 seconds ish, when I had the flashgun on. I then had trouble metering with the camera bulit in meter in manual mode.
as a photographer who's just started out, the day was a nightmare.
** any tips round these proplems **

Wondering why you struggled with the light as looking at the exif it shows that you are on 800iso and the lens aperture is wide open.
Have you done portraits before with your KM? Just asking as it's worth getting to grips with your camera and it's settings before trying to tackle a wedding even if you are shadowing a pro.
I'm surprised that you put the camera in manual especially during your first wedding.
It seems to me that you sort of paniced as it's your first practice at a wedding. All I say is don't let this experience put you off.
Ask anyone on here about their first wedding and I know that everyone will say that it was very nerve racking.
Keep practicing and you will get there.
