Lovely capture, i like the colour and dof. - I wouldn't get too fixated with the quality of a K5 though. From what i've read and seen, the K30 is also a great camera and even similiar to the k5. The K5 has its problems, mine certainly has!, so just enjoy using your K30 and keep taking pics!! - mary.

The sensor in both cameras - K5 and K30 - is basically the same. The K5 creates a 14-bit file, whereas the K30 a 12-bit file.
For most situations/ photos, you will not be able to tell the difference. However the extra 2 bits in the K5 file will help you to pull out a bit of extra detail mainly from shadow/ dark areas of a photo if you use RAW files and not jpeg.
I like your fern shots and these natural effects!

Thank you alfpics for info!
All photograpy I uploaded here are develobed from RAW file, excepting the first one.
I noticed that photos by Pentax k-5 have a strongest natural sharp and more pixels as quality because it's bigger iso . And I heard that a Pentax k-5 II can be compared with a Nikon D700. And that's great, because here are some diference between their price

I really like these ferns. The really interesting part is not the sharp bits but mix of sharp and unsharp parts of your photo!
If you look back at some of the older photos in this gallery, you will see stunning photos from K100, K10 and older cameras, with 6 and 10m pixels. The main thing that makes them special is the person behind the camera not camera itself.

Glad you like it! .. here is no edit, natural contrast, light and colours
I know that the main thing to makes photos special is the person behind the camera, so I want to shoot photos by k-30 as K-5 quality. I never used a k-5 camera, but I'm curiously if I could shoot with it on night time without flash or tripod and at a high quality.
To my camera, in many situations I use manual settings and I prefer iso as low as can and I try to don't move the camera. It's annoying to alway carry a tripod.
I'm gonna look back at some of the older photos in this gallery.
