The war memorial at my local park. Taken with my Pentax K-r (F/4.5, 1/250th sec, 18mm, ISO-100), converted to B&W and then colour popped the poppies in Photoshop.

An appropriate photograph at this time of year. Its a shame that on average 1 WW1 memorial is vandalised each week in the UK as people tear off the metal plaques for scrap; the plaques that have the names of those who paid the ultimate price.
