Majestic bird

Amazed to see this huge bird circling above my home in North London today.
I quickly grabbed my K-3 II and fired off a few shots. I really like this one.
I'm not a twitcher, though, and have no idea what bird it is. Can someone enlighten me?

Yes its a Red Kite, tatty or not they are a striking bird. Nice to see them over cities makes a change from noisy airliners.
