The red poppy is well isolated form the background field of ripening crops and the distant tree forms a balance with the poppy. I like the poppy seed heads in the shaddow of the main subject but question if the two out fo focus grasses compete for attention.

Thanks for the comments. I can see what you mean about the grasses. I couldn't cut them out of the shot without trampling the farmers crop and I liked where the tree was. I suppose I could have cloned them out in photoshop but I try to not overdo my edits. It is nice to get helpful comments back, especially on my first ever entry to a competition on here.
