Nice view Peter. I think it could have done with an ND Graduated filter to prevent the sky from blowing out. I struggled for ages without one, but since getting a set of Hitech 0.3, 0.6 and 0.9 ND Grads it has transformed my landscape photography.

I have noticed that a high proportion of my landscape shots suffer from 'blown out' skies ! (And I've not, so far' found a way to compensate for this in PP ?)

You have been very lucky then. A fly fisher who arrived about the same time as me gave up after about 30 minutes as the wind kept blowing his line back into his face ! (You can see the rippled surface on the lake)I just realised, I've fished that reservoir many times. its got some lovely trout in it.
