Thanks for the comment. Lens used is the Da300mm which is just about right on a crop sensor body.

Is ir an Air Show exhibition or are you a pilot?? Is Tom Cruise on board?..Excellent work. Perfect timing

Thanks for your comment. To be honest you never know what you're going to get and how many flyby's. I haven't blanked as yet but have sat up on the hill for several hrs and only 2 jets came by, but when they do, boy it's a thrill 😉
On a separate day I've had as many as 25+ passes varying between RAF Hawks, Typhoons, Tornado's and Herc's. Then the amazing Usaf F15's . Those days are special.

Giulios57 No not a pilot but would be more than happy to take up the co-pilot's seat for a trip out and I could pretend in being Tom Cruise for the day 😆

I'm actually stood several hundred's of feet up on the mountain side taking this shot. There are several locations which photographers use within the LFA7 (Low Flying Area) to shoot the jets.

Very powerful shot! Really like the colors too of the grey sky matching the grey jet against the blurred background that looks like camo. The two white jet streams really add to the motion and excitement of the shot. I also like the angle of the jet you caught so one can see into the cockpit. Worth the wait... great picture!

Not been personally, but a friend of mine. Regularly sits on that very hillside. Spectacular shot and well worth the wait.

Wouldn't be half as exciting without the wingtip vortices! Bet it wasn't easy to shoot!
