Thanks both: did you notice the sensitivity? ISO 3200. Unbelievable. I can take pictures with this camera I wouldn't consider with any other. Imagine what it could do in the hands of a good photographer...
Best wishes,

Andrew

Many of us consider you to be a good photographer Andrew. Yes the K5 does handle high ISO very well. My early efforts at high ISO (3200 ISO inside Durham Cathedral) with the K5 weren't very clever but that was down to the way I operated in Photoshop. I've got better since then.
Incidentally the K30 equals the K5 high ISO performance - not bad for a camera that is allegedly entry level.

And is very much cheaper! As you say, "allegedly" entry level, David.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Wonderful camera, excellent shot, and I love the colour tones. I should also quote David, "Many of us consider you to be a good photographer Andrew."

Thanks everyone. I wasn't fishing for complimets here, I was just musing that a great photographer, rather than blindly choosing Nikon or Canon might do great things with a K5 if he gave it a chance!
Best wishes,

Andrew

I, too, am just discovering the beauties of K5's high iso qualities!

TAV really does work for me in my photography now!

That's a beauty Andrew! Have you tried it in sepia?
