The lighting draws one's eye to the model of a gaff-rig boat very nicely. I suppose that this is an area where votive offerings of ancient ship models are often found?

Actually, not all that old, but isolated and opened only once or twice a year. This last Sunday, it was for the Benediction of the Sea. Has not, of course, escaped common vandalism.
