Kite Flight

I'd love some tips on how to get the bird's head sharper. Do I need faster shutter/higher ISO or just a better lens?

Hi kemopop, I used a Sigma 400mm apo lens, it's from the 80's so manual focus

you may need to up your shutter speed and try to lead your subject look to its line of flight set your focus to c and as your subject comes into your view finder and take the shot with manual lenses it trial and error.

I took this shot handheld, it was impossible to pan and track on a tripod, they move so fast. What do you mean by set focus to C?

Yeah the K30 has the same lever, but the lens is manual focus only, no AF.
