It was never there....

When having the chance to shoot a Buran, it is a bit disapointing when the background is something on earth - so I could not withstand to add a space background to the photo.... To make it clear that the background is fake, I selected a very dramatic one (and also, as the shining sun somehow fits to the light reflections on these ball structures in the lower left corner.
I used my Sigma 8-16 mm for this shot.

e Problem is - the Buran was never in space (and I guess, the Spaceshuttle Cargo-Doors are more white and not that orange.... so it would have been very difficult to tell a convincing story (and hey - Antarctica was already an exotic place to be - space is a place, noone would have believed....)
You shouldn't have told us about the background - you could have spun a fine story for years! As Giulio so rightly says "Only You"!!
