Into the sun

Photo of the Week by LennyBloke

Whenever I get a new lens I like to "push it" to expose its weaknesses and strengths - my most used accessory is the Teleplus Auto extension tube set, when you add a tube to a fast prime you can change how to see things and play around with focal points, razor-thin depth of field, etc.

This is shot with a 20mm tube on the Pentax A* 135mm f1.8 at f2 with sunlight filtering through from the back. It's best viewed large although even the largest size in the gallery doesn't do it full justice!

Hope you like it - if you've got some tubes I'd recommend giving them an airing

Yes, large is the size to view this botanical. Rich, arm feelings generated in me.

Fascinating result. Especially the 'out of focus' areas.
