A atmospheric photo but it could do without the TV Ariel And could stand some cropping I think to give it more of an impact.

I deliberately put it all a bit out of kilter to enhance strangeness and unease. The antenna adds perhaps an element of anachronism.
I tried to make it all seem not quite right.
But also, to tell the truth, I rather quickly felt than thought about the picture.

for me the tv antenna is key part of the image along with the selective colour and processing as a whole. gives it that feel of life within and suspicion, It has all the hallmarks or a crime novel cover image I get where you are coming from as its the instant story and feeling the image projects before you even consider the picture

I do believe that you are play at being the Devils Advocate Paul. No one will ever convince me that a TV aerial could play a key part in any image let alone Jerry’s image. They are nothing but a nuisance!

I knew that would get up your nose Bob!! Seriously though, I always like to show the immediate environment if at all possible. Over the years most of my photography has been aviation related; a friend and I would travel the world looking for old aircraft to photograph. Theoretically our photos should have all looked the same but that was not the case; I would always be standing a few paces further back from the aircraft to perhaps include a piece of airport equipment whereas he was totally filling the frame with the aircraft! Needless to say I always had to wait for him to get out of the way! So, that's my excuse!
Anyway, it must be thirty years or more since I saw a TV antenna!
