Helvetia wreck on Rhossili beach

by josiahk

Rhossili beach is in the Gower (South Wales). Remains of the Helvetia shipwreck can be seen poking up through the sand. The ship went down in 1887.
The cliffs behind lead to the Worms Head. In this photo, two figures on the distant clifftop help establish scale.

Amazing to think the ships timbers still remain after nearly 150 years
