groins on a beach

taken duing early/mid morning, early spring.. The aim was to create an interestnig subject out of the simple and mundane, ie, the groins. In the original shot there were a few tankers out on the horizon so after getting rid of them I softened the water. When I flattened the DOF the picture took on a whole new feel, so i left it. does it work? any comments would be gratefully received.

Yes nice photo, but I would have preferred if it was all in focus, but that's just me,

It was all in focus originally but the tankers on the horizon spoiled it hence the blurring. After blurring it it seemed to flatten the whole picture which i quite liked. Cheers Jackitec. Always good to get some feedback no matter what it is. Means I'm on the right track with my own developments
