Great Spotted Woodpecker

Different posture with his head to one side. Havent seen him in the garden for ages, but did hear him 'drumming' in local trees this morning.

I love the sound of woodpeckers. I often hear them but I can never find them with my lens. Determined to get a decent shot of a Green Woodpecker as I do see them grubbing around and flying with their 'dipping' flightpath, but they disappear in a flash

Hi Mat,

Again, would love to see one flying! This one comes into our garden but I have never seen but a brief glimpse of it flying!

To catch it flying in a pic would be the Buisness!!!!!!
