I can understand what you were aiming for, Nigel, but IMHO (and ir is just my personal likes/dislikes) I feel that the very slow shutter speed has made the water look like cotton wool

As I said, it is a personal thing but I prefer the effect from using 1/20 sec as Gabby has in the next image. To me that gives the water a more lifelike appearance

But, each to his own and we all have our different approaches so well done for trying

Thanks Malc and Peter I know exactly what you mean and I agree "texture wise". Had several others in which a little faster show a more lifelike appearance as you say, in those however I failed to catch the light as well on the rocks so this was the "keeper" (for me anyway!).
