Golden Cold
by AxelLuther
.... or when the clouds meet the fog. Taken at sundown on a summit in the Vosges. The valley is completely filled with fog,the low hanging clouds are illuminated by the sun that went down 20 min later.
Although comming in these warm colors, it was really cold up there
BTW - I just realized - this is a little Christmas Tree - so already now I wish all of you a love Christmas

Looks almost like an alien landscape, the same otherworldy feel you caught in another earlier shot.
Very nice.

The Vosges mountains are very beautiful in summer but I've never seen them in winter. This landscape has a lot of drama.

yeah - exactly what I thought - the black forest is the nice greasy pitoresque place (a bit like made for American and japanese tourists)- the vosges - only 50 km to the east and geologically a twin mountain range are so different: pure, remote, wild, moody - an amazing landscape

Astonishing light and colour, Axel. I'd love to go walking in those mountains.
Best wishes,
Andrew

It has really special colours, but I love them. Everytime I look at one of your HDR shot I decide that I will take some own HDR shot. Your works are very inspiring.
