I don't think you've got the location right. This is either Barrington Tops or the Dorrigo area of NSW, Australia. There's bound to be some Perch in that stream. Nice waterway, and nice shot.

What a beautiful place, the clouds, light, and the stream which is so clear! Always love the transparency of water! And I think it is a very balanced compo as well.

I love North Wales, spent part of my youth touring the area on my bike and I've been back many times since. This excellent shot shows it in peaceful mood, sometimes its very dramatic.
Because of your tag name Andrew I've often wondered if you are Welsh rather than a native of the mangel worzel country.

Wow! What a wonderful and gratifying response everyone. Makes it worthwhile to share the picture with you all (not that I don't enjoy photography for its own sake, of course). I was a bit worried people would get bored by the Welsh landscapes: there are so many pictures, it was that sort of week.

Interesting that it reminds you of NSW, Sam-Joseph. So that's how it got its name...

No, David, I'm not Welsh, but a true native of Zumerset. My son, who set up his technophobe dad on the site named mr Bwlchmawr. Now he is a true, Celtophile (if there is such a word!)
Best wishes,

Andrew
