Just fantastic. Thought this must be somewhere up in the Arctic until I read the IR bit. An almost fractal, repeating pattern effect from the channels of different sizes. IR really emphasises these channels - which I guess would not show up with such contrast in a normal image - so an excellent application of the technique.
