Great shot David, nicely framed with great depth of field. You have definitely caught the moment, all that mechanical mayhem and power

I like that one David,i was born in York, and used to see these amazing machines powering out of the station on their way to Scotland. As kids we would hide under the bridge(there was a ledge)at dringhouses, and the trains would pass a few feet away!Looking at your ''streak''as we used to call it,i can smell the smoke now. Excellent capture David, I also remember this class of locomotive from my younger days, and it brings back memories of train spotting on Leeds.Doncaster, and York stations (proper trains in those days:wink

Hi David,
Thanks for bringing back the memories of when I was a kid “train spotting” was not a film but we had to do something that was cheap, and that was one of them.
My brother and I used to catch the train to various stations just to see and collect the name/number of the engine, I would have been nine or ten and my brother four years older, you could not do this today .
Nice shot by the way.

Nice shot, good lead in lines and plenty of atmosphere of the moment caught.
