From Above

This is a re-edit of an old photo, taken when there was a particularly strong northern lights occurrence in Norway. Even though I set the HD Pentax-DA 15mm f4 at f5.6 and ISO1600, I only had to use a 4 second exposure to catch this aurora. Oftentimes I have to use shutter speeds between 10-20 seconds with the same settings to achieve ok results with the northern lights. The camera was pointing more or less straight upwards towards the night skies when taking this image.

It makes me smirk when watching people looking north for the lights, when theyre normaly above our heads!

Never, ever seen it but this one makes me fully believe it.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
