From Above
by bjolester
This is a re-edit of an old photo, taken when there was a particularly strong northern lights occurrence in Norway. Even though I set the HD Pentax-DA 15mm f4 at f5.6 and ISO1600, I only had to use a 4 second exposure to catch this aurora. Oftentimes I have to use shutter speeds between 10-20 seconds with the same settings to achieve ok results with the northern lights. The camera was pointing more or less straight upwards towards the night skies when taking this image.
