Nice B/W shot, but the main subject, the tree is too small in it. You should crop the top and the left side of it IMHO.

I agree with both of the above comments! Very nice shot, Kris, but might it be improved by cropping a bit (though I can see why you have it as it is). The sky's beautiful (the conversion's brilliant) and the birds add a different element - just a slight shame they're not a bit bigger.

A wonderful shot, Kris. Lovely sky to set off the rooks (I can almost hear them) and that tree. Less is definitely more here.

I rather agree with Andrew here, I like the three dark lining that, I think, make it more effective,and the wider ones at the top and bottom act as a natural frame.

I don't often find myself disagreeing with Gábor but I feel that the tree size is what makes the photo - I might even have considered moving the tree further to the right, which might have wrecked the photo completely but I would like to experiment with it. It is a very peaceful, serene view which has been well seen, and captured.
