Fish lunch..

A image I took this morning on the Isle of May. One of the last Puffins who's is still feeding it's young. This year there were about 46.000 couples breeding on the island.

Cracking shot.
I was there a couple of weeks ago. Brilliant day weather wise. Took about 250 shots- all duff!!
I used my K3 and the 50-300 WR. What did you use as there is no exif date

Oldhat, were you there two weeks ago, on Sunday 17 July? Cracking shot.

I noticed someone in the crowd with a Pentax K3 that day during the brief induction talk after landing on the island. I was the idiot who forgot to lift his hat from the motor and got attacked by a Tern after the first few meters. Their attacks are very effective on (nearly) bald people. I was too busy wiping my head to not look as a blood stained zombie the rest of the day so never got the change to have a chat with the other Pentaxian.

I see you stay local to the Isle of May, you have another week for a second change before the Puffins will leave. Only a few birds were still feeding their young yesterday as most youngsters are ready to leave the burrow right now. The guys on the island were saying that they will start leaving next week.

Beautiful shot, the great thing about this is that you can see the detail and colours in the fish, as well as in the Puffin.
