Anyone know what kind of butterfly this is?

by thursty

Managed to get this little guy amongst the swarm of Griffins and Squirrels at RAF Shawbury today. If anyone knows what type of butterfly this is let me know as I have no idea! Taken with a Pentax KS-2 and 18-135.

Looks like it could possibly be a Pieris rapae also known as the small white, small cabbage white and the white butterfly.

It does indeed look like a cabbage white
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
