Buying Bread from the Bakery

by nonur

Today's image is from my archives and it is converted today. I will upload the colour version later. As it is seen, the Bakery is located in the alleyway, one of the entrances to Malgaca Bazaar in Urla, Izmir.

I lived sometime at intervals in this small town close by my hometown Izmir in my childhood. My aunt worked there as a teacher, we had also some relatives living there, one of whom owned a shop at the main entrance of this market place. I have sweet memories related to those days, so I have always loved the place; but this is not the only reason, I love the town also because of the fact Moira mentioned in her comment. I am happy that many old buildings are still erect and a number of them are also being restored. The town had its share as Izmir has gone through a change and enlarged to a great extent and many people prefer to live there now.

I've been there. You caught it perfectly
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
