Echinops explosion

Photo of the Week by davidwozhere

The rain hammered down this morning and soaked everything and when the sun finally came out everything was covered in sparkly raindrops. Absolutely irresistible. This was shot straight into the sunshine with the camera on a tripod and the lens completely shaded by holding a large kitchen chopping board above it (perfect for the task). The shutter was released with an IR remote.
K1 with a different Trioplan on it - an f4.5, 78mm this time from 1938, stopped down to f5.6.

Please view it full size and preferably on a monitor.

Stunning image. Very definitely best viewed on a large screen.

That's truly a 'Wow, Wow' shot, David !
I love both the colours and the light effect - great work.
Combined they make this a real PoW contender !

Best regards

I thought I had posted a comment the other day, but don't see it now, so......I predict this sparkling image will win POTW hands down.

First chance I have had to look - wow, thank you everyone. It's gone to seed now and is but a nice memory.
