Earl of Merionneth at Porthmadog

It might look like a toy train on a model railway but this narrow gauge beauty is on the Ffestiniog Railway, a serious railway operation which attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors to Snowdonia every year. Here the double ended Fairley loco Iarll Merionnydd (get your tongue round that English speakers) is seen bringing a train from Ffestiniog into the harbour station at Porthmadog last summer.
