This is actually a HDR, I am new to this so any advice on how to improve the results would be appreciated.

HDR is a tecnique I've been using alot in the past but I'm not really the right person to explain how to PP HDR immages for best result.
Here are 2 examples of my HDR immages:
http://www.pentaxuser.co.uk/photo/user-7050/storskar-7693

http://www.pentaxuser.co.uk/photo/user-7050/city-hall-at-dusk-7786

But spontaneously I feel this immage has great potential if you just added a lightning and an S-curve layer in PS.

I just noticed your exif can bee shown, that makes me believe this accually is not a HDR at all, but only 1 out of 3 or 5 shots from your HDR range.

I don't know how familiar you are with HDR, you say you are new, but a HDR image contain 3 or 5 (correct me if I'm wrong) images of teh same object, "melted" together.
So what you do in PS is that you load up all immages and tell PS to "melt" them together as a HDR image. This will increase the dynamic range (hence the name High Dynamic Range) so that you can play around alot more with the colors, lights and shades.

If you're not useing PS to PP your photoes I'm sure your software has that feature as well, just have to find it

If you want to see some extreeme HDR images just Google "HDR" and click images, there's alot you can do with it

Cheers

Yes I checked the exif and its strange but this is definately a HDR done in photoshop CS5 with 5 different exposures.
Thanks for your help, I will certainly look into this more, as I said I have only just started playing around with this.
By the way your HDR's are fantastic!

Thank you sire, I'm pleased with them as well but I have seen so many super shot made out of HDR so I feel abit in tehj shadow in this area

Come to think of it I think I had teh same issue as you in th ebegining when I started making HDRs I didnt get the rich colors etc. I excpected to get but I can't recollect what I did wrong or how I "fixed" it.

I'm sure there is a good walkthrough ouot there somewhere tho to follow, as I said, been a long time since I took those and havn't worked with it since then.

But play around with it, that immage sure have potential of looking great as a HDR when u nail the tecnique

Cheers!
