Damsel in Distress?

I am sure somebody will correct me - I am totally new to the world of macro and insects etc - think this is a damsel fly?

taken at Fairburn RSPB reserve (yorkshire)last Sunday - with my new toy - Sigma 105mm EX DG macro - love this lens!

Can't help you with the name of the thing. They all look like dragonflies to me !!

Regardless, the colours are good, as is the focus and, above all, the blurred background. Nice one for a starter in the world of macro, which I avoid like the plague.
