Nice, very sharp, I'm guessing it was attached to your telescope.

I don't shoot the moon often, but I always have problem with definition. Do you have any suggestions for getting such clarity as you have obtained here?

You could try stacking, but do not use PS to do the stack.

This image was shoot thru a 150mm Newtonian Reflector Telescope at f5, and 750mm focal length. Also in the mix was a Coma Corrector.

It is 40 images that were then aligned and coverted in to an AVI with PIPP (Planetary Imaging Pre-Processing) software. Then stacked in Autostakkert. The stacked image was then PP'd in PS, then it was run thru Topaz AI Sharpen and Denoise.

If you'd like any help you can message me.

Ah. You've finally succumbed and got a copy of Topaz!

Thank you, Spad, for your detailed tips for shooting the moon. Unfortunately, I do not have the equipment necessary to follow these tips.

Do you have a 500mm plus focal lendth lens?

Also PIPP and Autostakkert are free. You may get something approaching this.

THIS is a stacked image using a Sigma 150-500mm lens.

So that's how the moon looks! One of the clearest I've ever seen!
