Cool street pedlar
This guy was selling balloons in Stafford a couple of months ago and he was keen to have his photo taken. I used a slightly unusual angle, mostly to avoid the tacky high street shop signage but also to capture the street reflection in his shades.
Taken with my used 18-250mm which is my workhorse. I find it a bit hit & miss but every now and again it rewards with a half decent snap!

You are probably right, although printed at A3 it's still quite sharp. f/8 would be getting on for 2 stops below the max of f/4.5 at 55mm and would have blurred the background even less than it is now.
I'd like to claim I was thinking about it at the time, but I wasn't!

This is a great portrait, I ldo like the unusual view point. I think it would work in colour-pop as well.

I've found that the (Tamron) 18-250 gives better results from f8.00 up, but that could be just me.
