Concorde-night shoot

by pschlute

A night shoot at Brooklands museum. The aircraft was lit by LED, which were moved during the evening. For this shot I queued up to get onto the one-person gantry to be able to take a nose-on picture.

K-1 II + DFA 15-30 zoom. 20 seconds exposure at f9.5 ISO400

Great photo comp, the stealth like pose is almost an organic as it peers at one.
So far ahead of its time.
Had the pleasure of being on a double decker bus (top dec) in 1986, travelling back towards Windsor
The bus passed by Heathrow airport quite closely closely in fact.
The Concorde was landing and it felt like the bus was in sync as if it was travelling at the same speed and parallel also
The nose cocked downwards as it floated effortlessly to its landing. It was poetry in motion.
It was a sight to behold that I will never forget and comments from the other passengers were in the same awe.
Great set of photos Pschlute
