An ex-tree

The car-park for our block of flats is a funny shape because they had to work around a protected tree when they were built in the '90s.

Then in 2009, we found that a protection order doesn't stop a tree from being eaten away inside by fungus and falling down, blocking the site entrance and taking out a car or two and the Residents Only car-park sign.

First thing next day a couple of blokes with a truck and chainsaws turned up.

Now we have one of them whirley washing lines. I'd rather have a new tree...
