This is a pic from one of my trips to Croatia.
In a town called Rijeka they have a jew cematary where this unique gravestone can be found.
I think there's a child buried here, and these are angels protecting the grave.

This separate part of the Central Town cemetery was established in 1875. The Ceremonial Hall and 550 monuments exist on property nationalized in 1976. Monuments from the old cemetery established in 1840 and used until 1874 were moved here. The cemetery has been protected as a historical landmark. There is a monument to the Jewish victims of Holocaust."
(THe monument to the victims of the Holocaust is in your pictures, numbers 29 and 30. I believe the photograph you submitted is of a monument that was moved onto the Jewish part of the cemetery.)

Good subject but not quite sharp enough to show the detail of the stone. Could it have been photographed from further left to avoid the greenery in the left hand side of the photo, which might also have shown all three angels more clearly against the white stonework of the building?

Yes Nathan,
There are jewish graves here, but I think this particular image might have been taken just "outside" the jewish part of teh sematary.
If you happend to be in the neighberhood I recommend a visit, it gives a really special feeling to wander around in this really old cematary.
It feels so abandoned in some places, especially i n the jewish section, but so alive in other sections.
People very activly put out flowers and candles here.

I am pretty sure these are not on a Jewish grave, as the praying motion is definitely not Jewish.
DO you have a wider photo of this specific monument?
