I'm glad you said what it was, because I was struggling, it looks a bit like the bottom of a bottle. I'm guessing the flash reflection meant the image was under-exposed, and you've boosted exposure afterwards, because it looks very noisy for an ISO400 shot. I'm afraid the shot just doesn't grab me, and it's probably a combination of harsh lighting, with drab colours. Could you have tried it outside in stead of using flash? Or used a tripod?
K-3, a macro lens and a DA*300mm...
