Red door

I thought we were getting overwhelmed by landscapes so it is good to see another image in the man-made objects from an unusual angles category. The door in this picture has a fine, detailed, texture and I think this elevates this image from being plain to interesting and subtle. I also like the handle and its shadow which create an immediate draw for the eye. I’m not quite so sure about the wavy shadow across the top. All in I think this image would work very well as a simple, minimalist backdrop.

There would be no problem placing any icons on this image. While there is not much detail for hints/reminders to peek around open windows the red texture that you see will tell you exactly what is going on behind those windows.
