Generations

Was in this car park to shot a stylish empty parking deck - I was a bit upset when seeing that there were two cars - but what a surprise - a well preserved 50 year old VW Neetle and the new VW Golf - two cars from the same manufacturer and representing the same kind of car but with a gap of 50 years.

An interesting shot, cleverly composed.

You were fortunate to find two clean VW's parked in the right place.

Do you have the EXIF information :

p.s. I would not normally comment on entries but I am assuming that Axel has disqualified himself from his own competition

Or lucky enough to have good PS skills?

It's a fantastic shot. The patterns on the roof and floor, and even the stairs at the back, make it look like a mirror image. Hmm maybe it is In any case, well done, it's a great image!

"Hmm maybe it is"
Hmm
Iv'e never seen a beam structure like that in a multi-storey car park. An amazing span and some interesting cantilevering with those 'V shapes'. . . .

But a really lovely picture - which is what counts. I'm sure VW would love it for their glossy.

AxelLuther has this picture on pentaxphotogallery.com, in the premiere collection. At the higher resolution you can see all the stains on the beams clearly and it is even more obvious that the final image is mirrored.

Still a great picture, but AxelLuther, why would you bother to make up a story about how you just happened upon the scene? I can understand why you might do it for your competition, for fun, but for the pentax photo gallery, why?

You have some great pictures on there, I particularly like Lichtreflexe.

Hmm - as you say a mirrored image, which does not really tie up with Axel's description.

I would have preferred a straightforward explanation.

It's really a very good composite. The only thing you've forgotten is the shadow under the Golf's rear bumper

Hyram and Pygmy I think Axel is just having a little joke with us I think there were already some comments pointing out the composite in his original gallery entry of this image.
