I agree that the burn outs might be considered distracting but The metallic result from the color is interesting and the execution is fine. I wonder what drew you to the subject and then how you went for it and produced a intersting imageVisualy captivating and viable as is from all 4 compass points. I like it. THANKS tg

Yes the burnouts are probably a bit too much. In my enthusiasm I hadn’t really noticed. I boosted the contrast which didn’t help.
It was 50/50 on the title containing ‘eyes’, in the end I went the other way.

Unusually, we had a LOT of sun here yesterday and I was experimenting with how glass containers distort light. The afternoon sun was streaming into the kitchen and I lay 2 small glasses on a plastic table cloth with the sun behind and took a couple of shots pointing inside. The two ‘balls’ are the bases. For better or worse, most of my pictures are in camera within 5 minutes of getting the idea. I later did a bit of PP on the contrast and added a tint because the image seemed to lack something. I’m coming to realise that, in my case, bold and simple images are the most effective.
Thank you both for the comments, they are much appreciated. My website needs a revamp and when I do, I’ll place a copy with the highlights toned down a bit (so much to do, so little time!).

The burn outs remind me of that Dr. Who crack in the wall with the light spilling through from the timelords [No, I am not a Dr. Who aficionado]. Being alien like this photograph, it suits really well. Apt. Overall, a lovely, strange little study.

I suppose the burn outs might be considered to suit the style of image but for me they detract from it. However this an arresting image which really grabbed my eyes.
