Church of Aya Elena

The church is located in Sille, a nearby village 7 kms away from the centre of Konya. Older churches carved into rock can still be seen on the side of the hill across. This church was built by Helena, mother of Constantinus, in 371 AD as a tribute to Michael, the archangel.
