Ceanothus

The sun came out today, so did the blossom, and so did my K-r !
Taken hand held using the DAL 18-55 kit lens. I must get some more practice improving my DoF !

I just can't nail where the focus is on this. Very good contrast and maybe better from a more left stance where you could reduce the amount of dark background on the left.

Definitely worth some more shots.

Best regards

Many thanks for your comments.

I too can't quite get to the bottom of this focus problem ?
I tried again today chosing AV and selecting f11 for more DoF and upping the ISO to 800 to keep shutter speed reasonably quick (to overcome the breeze !)
However, I STILL can't get the whole bloom in focus ?
But as I'm a Scorpio I won't give up and, as they say, 'you learn by your mistakes' !

Meanwhile, I've posted one of a Weigela which seemed easier to get focussed !
