I went here on the promise of a foggy morning, but it wasn't.

Maybe no fog - but still worth the visit?

Bit of a trek but good scouting trip. A must visit in autumn fog, some great old trees there.

Managed to get there with an ephotozine meet group some years back; was really good. In principle happy to go again if you are up for it?

I went there last week - it's a fascinating place. When I was there the morning mist burnt off very quickly and was pretty much gone by about 9.00.

It's not just good for trees, it also has loads of fungi, if that's your thing. There's an image from my trip (my first there) on the gallery and some more on a Forum post - both dated 6/10/2016.

Absolutely, but only if the conditions are right (ie: fog or otherwise miserable weather) - I'm keeping an eye on the forecast. Amazing how much was still green so plenty of autumn left hopefully.
