Taken with Kx on landscape auto focus. Just trying the various settings as I get used to the camera. What could I have done better?

Thanks Tim,
Taken in JPEG so presumably can't do anything with it. Was barefoot in my dressing gown at the door at the time. Temperature was about -7 and my nice warm wife was waiting for her cup of tea in bed - going any further wasn't an option(!) but I do see your point re the composition,

Aha, I wondered what you were doing up at dawn on boxing day! I assumed you either have small kids, or were just about to go to bed after a big party

Trying to get the small kids to stay in bed. 3yo works on the basis that if she lifts her curtain and can see any glimmer of light it's morning!

I think the main issue is probably your white balance, which has made the snow go quite purple. You might try the 'shade' setting. If you shot in RAW you can change this now, if you shot in JPEG you'll have to go an re-shoot.
I think possibly you might have taken a few steps forward and omitted that hedge/fence in the foreground as well.
