A very nice summer scene; tranquil.

I don't remember seeing such colourful boats. There would be riots down here if someone tried to paint the traditional River Cam punts in anything other than plain varnished wood.

Thanks for the comment Martin. This was taken in Morpeth, Northumberland on the river Wansbeck. I've no idea what colour the boats may have been in times past.

The colours of the boats contrast nicely with the woodland in the background and the overall compostion makes it a rather nice picture.
